  • I'm not flexible at all. Should I even bother trying yoga?

    I'm pretty stiff. I sit on my chair all day at work and don't do much exercise. I haven't had any bad injuries but I think I'm just stiff from not stretching much ever since I was little. I want to hit the gym but my friend told me to do yoga instead. I feel like I won't get much benefit from it cause I won't be able to do much of the poses. Should I still try it out?

    We do yoga to get flexible... not do yoga BECAUSE we're flexible! So yes, at least give it a try!

      It took me many years to touch my toes so I'd say flexibility is not a requirement to do yoga, it is the result of doing yoga. Yoga allows you to modify the poses so you can do what you can. Also use props if they provide it in class; they could help a lot!

        YES! Do yoga! Don't worry about not being flexible. Just do what you can do and listen to your body, do it at your own pace. No one is there to judge!
